What Is
IPL Photofacial?
Have you started noticing small brown spots on your skin? If so, you’re not alone. Many patients who have spent extended time in the sun are vulnerable to experiencing accelerated signs of premature aging on their face, hands, and decollate. These sun spots are a form of skin damage, and they represent one of the most common skin concerns. Fortunately, there's a simple solution to improve your skin tone and restore a more youthful-looking complexion, a photofacial treatment.
IPL photofacial treatment is a simple, non-surgical way to effectively target pigment under the skin's surface to reduce the appearance of discoloration and premature aging. There is minimal discomfort and typically only some redness for about a day afterward. With IPL photofacials, you can achieve noticeably brighter, clearer, and more youthful-looking skin. Each photorejuvenation treatment also works on vascular marks, such as spider veins and capillaries. All it takes is a few quick treatments, each of which lasts about 20-30 minutes and fits easily into your busy schedule or even on a lunch break.
HOW DOES
IPL Photofacial treatment Work?
IPL photofacial is powered by Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) with SmartPulse™ technology, this multifaceted Venus device delivers intense pulses of light through several layers of the skin with complete precision. The light reduces or will eliminate common effects like skin discolouration, browns and reds. IPL light also encourages the product of collagen, a natural protein, making the skin smooth and supple. The targeted tissue absorbs the heat generated by these pulses which serves to correct the skin flaws being targeted. The surrounding tissues face no damage at all.
In comparison to other devices, the IPL Venus Versa™ is designed with your comfort and convenience in mind. The applicator comes equipped with a built-in cooling feature so as to make the entire treatment as comfortable as possible for you. If you still feel any kind of discomfort while treating sensitive areas like the upper lip, the device settings can be adjusted and personalized for your comfort.

How to prepare before & after the treatment?
Before Treatment
You’ll be asked to stay out of sunlight before getting the treatment done.
If you’ve tanned recently, we’ll ask you to wait a while before coming in for treatments.
We’ll ask you to avoid medications that make you more sensitive to light, but always consult your doctor before stopping prescribed medications.
After Treatment
You’ll be asked to avoid scented lotions, exfoliants, and aggressive scrubbing.
It’s normal for freckles and sunspots to initially get darker and they usually flake off within one to three weeks.
You might feel something like a sunburn after the treatment, but an ice pack should help.
