Results are often seen immediately. Depending on the area being treated and the type of filler selected for placement, results can last anywhere from 6-18 months. This can vary from patient to patient.

All risks associated with dermal filler will be discussed in depth with your injector during your consultation after a review of your health history. Similar to Botox, common risks associated with Hyaluronic Acid filler injections include bruising, swelling, soreness, and redness with any injection. In addition, there is a risk of infection, allergic reaction, filler migration, and the formation of lumps/bumps. In rare cases vascular occlusion (when filler blocks a blood vessel) can occur, this is an emergency that requires your injector to dissolve the filler placed during your treatment to avoid further/more severe complication. Having an injector that is qualified and following aftercare instructions diligently can help reduce some of these risks.

The cost of Dermal Fillers ranges from place to place, but filler typically costs about $400-600 per syringe. At Skin Essence Medspa, we charge $550 for one full syringe, or $350 for one-half syringe.

Depending upon the treatment area, topical and/or local anesthetic will be used to make any discomfort secondary to your treatment manageable. Our goal is to have you as comfortable as possible throughout the duration or your treatment and over the course of the recovery period to follow. Prior to your treatment you will be provided with pre-treatment instructions from your injector and following your treatment you will discuss your post-care information in depth. Following this information will ensure you avoid any unnecessary discomfort that could stem from aggravated swelling and/or bruising.

It is a common misconception that your face will look completely different should you choose to stop receiving treatment with dermal fillers at any point. The effect of your treatment(s) with Hyaluronic Acid fillers will wear off after months to years and it is likely the treated region will return to its baseline state.
